Wife wanted curved one (which I was like “ugh”) but damn if it didn’t reduce the glare on the screen...significantly. We no longer have to close the blinds when watching during the day. Viewing from the side is fine, too.

The phones curves at the edge are effectively convex - the opposite of a curved TV or the inside view of ski goggles. The curve on the LG reduces what was previously a whole screen reflection to a thin vertical line, visible at only certain viewing angles, in most cases.
