It needed people behind-the-scenes that actually understood sitcoms. It feels like they just based it off the meme of fat oafish husband, has an unrealistically hot wife. Rather than coming from a place of actual deconstruction of the sitcom tropes. 

Where TWD reveled in the misery, FTWD should have been about hope. And for a few seasons they were going that route. Then they nuked Texas.

The Suicide Squad was good if you’re a 13-year-old edgelord. The movie is basically just gore and dick jokes. So it’s extra ironic Ayer’s film (which remember was messed around with by WB, shocker) is getting called “edgelord” by this writer. 

Yeah. I think one of the trailers mentions that Dante dies at the end of the movie Randall is shooting. 

I’ve been watching old episodes, and the one thing that stuck out to me in 2022, is just how much Master Shake is basically Donald Trump.

Possibly because they are getting moved to HBO Max? 

Wilde will blame it on the patriarchy not being prepared for true female pleasure on film. 

Wilde out here acting like there’s never been a movie where a guy (or gal) goes down on a woman. Unless it’s like a single shot 25-minute oral sex scene, she ain’t doing any thing special.

I think this is #2. He went to rehab and then made that movie about his childhood as an actor and his messed up relationship with his dad. And then the Twigs stuff came out, and he’s back at square one. 

I mean not really. His stand up hasn’t really changed, some people leaked some material he workshopping when he started up again, which was not particularly good. But what comedian (male and female) hasn’t told new jokes that bombed / didn’t work in the past that they would cringe at today? 

In the case of King of Queens, she was just as bad / petty as any of the male characters.
