I’ve got an update.... I have it on VERY good authority that his claim was to be denied. I was told this yesterday afternoon by someone that works for Volkswagen of America that was familiar with the situation. And actually he brought it up to me, I didn’t mention to him.

VW will be selling them back to dealers who will complete the emissions modifications then resell them... as preowned vehicles.

Most car dealers are honest people, trying to make an honest living. Having said that, are there dishonest car dealers, yes. But there are also dishonest doctors, lawyers, priests, etc.
