That BBC player goes to 11. Really. That's awesome. So is James May.

I have a few more ways to deal with the same situation in the modern times:

I would like to add one thing that's saved my fingers:

Damn it, you just beat me to it. I was gonna say someone should get the kid an old Porsche. He already knows not to lift.

Hold on, one of the ideas is to spray vodka inside your car? How do you explain that if you get pulled over soon after that?

If that's your argument, then you should be advocating buying more reliable goods, or goods that have better value, regardless of where they are made.

Breathing through your nose is also supposed to help cool your brain. So if you have problems breathing through your nose, you may want to try one of those nose strip things. I say that but I still haven't done it even though I can barely breathe through my nose.

Well they did it with the GT3. Of course, this one has a turbo, and based on reviews, it seems like Porsche is not concerned with reducing turbo lag.

I wish the study noted the relative performance of the active and control groups. It does say "It also prevents the system from over-performing." Does that mean that absolute performance is lower?

I like it, he's recycling.

Someone at BMW/MINI is good at combinatorics. They thought:

I hope a new tire manufacturer for Le Mans needs a prototype to test with a few years from now. I hear Toyota is hard at work to satisfy that niche.

True, I should know since I've actually seen lots of them on the street back in the motherland (yugoslavia). Not that generation though, mostly the 80s.

So Opel designs a significant portion of Buick's new line up and now they have to be afraid of being irrelevant?

I'm glad to see that other people are as upset as me that the Camaro outsells the Mustang. I'm not a huge Mustang fan but based on what I've read, it's uniformly agreed to be the better car in every sense.

Regarding fuel regulations costing jobs, I love how the manufacturers leave out a piece of information.

I'm not sure what kind of racing you mean, but I have a Formula 1 race waiting for me and I cannot wait to watch it. Almost as excited as if it was live, but with the benefit of not waking up at 6am on a Sunday to watch it.

I would agree that the key ingredient is the drive. But not everyone can have it at the same level, and we shouldn't all aspire to sacrifice so much to be good at one or two things. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with doing that, but there's nothing wrong with not doing that either.

True, but not for the people who like to blend by hand.
