I felt it was perfect for expressing my gratitude for such a great illustration.

Before I start reading the article, I would just like to give a shout out to Tara Jacoby because that illustration is FUCKING RAD.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK is wrong with George RR Martin

The books are disgusting (with all that rape and violence things). That is why I prefer the watered down TV show. I could never tolerate that much rape and violence, even in written form. It makes my stomach churn just thinking about it.

I don’t know, that was my impression. I’m still learning about all of this and what it means. Comments here prompted me to do my research and, as I’ve already pointed out, I’ve learned how to properly talk about Conchita and Tom and went on to tell that very thing to other people in this thread who asked about it. Why

LOL, that is a fitting reaction.

Eugh. GRRM grosses me out.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE PARALLEL SCENE IN THE BOOK? Please tell me. <3

From my understanding (from interviews, quotes), he uses female pronouns when describing his drag queen persona (Conchita) and uses masculine pronouns to refer to himself, the person Tom.

Um... ok? :/ I thought maybe Tom Neuwirth identifies as non-binary (in the mean time I’ve looked it up and found that Conchita - feminine pronouns, Tom - masculine pronouns). Like I said, I didn’t mean to offend anyone, I’m just pleading for consistency within an article.

I was under the same impression, that Conchita should be used with feminine pronouns. And it just added to my confusion when I was reading that paragraph.

She did get a lot of hate from Eastern Europe, not just Russia. Personally I get why you’d be defensive. I live in EE and when I posted a status on FB whining about all the trans/drag-phobia I saw after she won the Eurovision, people started getting into arguments with me asking me if I didn’t think it was disgusting

I see. But I think for consistency within the article, only one gender (or maybe gender-neutral pronouns like ‘xe’) should be used, because otherwise it can get confusing.

Hmmm, is this a typo? Because otherwise I find the wording a bit confusing - sorry, I don’t mean to offend.

I have very bad PCOS and because I can’t have treatment right now, it is making it very hard for me to lose weight. I do try to not overeat or anything, mostly because I’m afraid of cholesterol and diabetes. When I was a teenager, it was super easy to stay slim, but now that exhaustion and over-stressing are a regular

<3 You sound awesome, darling. I am 21 and and 148 pounds and 5'2 so not exactly plus size (I don't think so?), but enough for people to look at me and remark on how 'big' I've gotten. I've also had my entire blood work done a few months ago and everything was absolutely normal (no bad cholesterol, no nothing!). Some

Whadda baby!

I think it is some strong implied shade. I would be curious to see this in Shade Court.
