That would be so awesome!

Thanks for the info! I never knew if this was a govt-required thing or just something that companies did.

So I've been reading that in Europe and Canada people are getting like, a year of paid leave for pregnancy? Which sounds awesome of course, definitely better than what we have (or don't have) here in the US. My question is, is that kind of stuff typical of all jobs there, or only of "good" jobs? What would happen if I

Yikes, talk about trying too hard. Oh and way to shit on all your customers.

At one of my jobs the commute would've been maybe 20 min each way but there was a bunch of construction on the rte, making it 60 minutes each way in rush hour. I got them to let me do 12 hour days, coming in early and leaving late to avoid rush hour, and only work 4 days per week.

I actually could wear headphones for at least part of the day at one of my jobs, and it wouldn't be against any rules, but I never do this because I am ridiculously easy to startle. It's pretty sad. Jesus, every day somebody comes up behind me and I jump two feet in the air, I can't imagine what it would be like if I

My insane conspiracy theory: All of these conspicuous consumption items: $290 paper bags, $53000 suitcase that costs more than I make in a goddamn year, etc...have an RFID type chip sewn into them. A cabal of modern-day robin hood-type thieves track who buys this stuff and now know the best people to rip off—people

I don't mind how I look in a mirror, but I hate how I look in photographs. I wish there was a way I could "fast" from that but there's always one person in the group who decides to take 80 pictures of every trivial event. Whenever somebody pulls out a camera I get really self-conscious, and I know that part of the

Unfortunately people are so used to retouched images that unretouched photos look bad to us..I don't see this trend reversing any time soon.

Have you tried working out in a group? I find the classes at my gym to be very motivating. Maybe the positive energy from other people will help you out.

I used to work out after work and it went pretty well, but lately I've been hitting the 6AM classes at my gym. Going to a class is more motivating for me than working out by myself, the class starts at 6 whether I'm there or not so I can't screw around.

Our health insurance costs aren't so bad if you get a group rate. The only way to get group rate insurance is through your job. Only jobs that pay well have that kind of insurance. So to upper-mid class & rich people insurance doesn't cost much or is paid for via their jobs as part of their benefits package.

Wow I didn't even have a credit card in college!

They want to push this pro-life thing so bad that they're willing to trample all over women who have been raped...implying that anybody who conceives via rape wasn't "legitimately" raped? Like they're all lying or something? How can anybody say that with a straight face?

I have an insane metabolism, which is good but it means I need to eat a LOT. Even with this metabolism I have chunked out in the past because I'd get hungry and just eat whatever without thinking about it.

Just like John Kerry!

My big fear:

Oh and looking young is 85% genes. You can wear sunscreen and not smoke, and that does help, but some people look young forever and some folks were just born old.

If there's any justice, 50 is gonna hit this woman like a ton of bricks.

Same here whenever I read something about how "you should take your paid vacation days don't let them go to waste" I just LOL. If y'all ain't gonna use your PAID vacation them give that time to me!
