Most Vita games don't either (not entirely sure if any non-Japanese region ones do at all). 360 games usually give a URL for the full manual, Vita games include an electronic one.

The cynical part of me says marketing.
Unfortunately, PC gaming has gotten quite segregated over the last decade or so due to the reliance on powerful GPUs. Back in the 90s, it was definitely very accessible. These days, a family is probably more likely to bring home a big-box PC with a 300W PSU that couldn't support a good GPU even if they went out to…
As already pointed out, it's the original Jaguar controller (there was a 6-button variant later on too).
If you want the full experience, watch all of it (well, the Death and Rebirth movie isn't necessary, that's just a theatrical recap of the series). The new movies present things more or less as the world being in a Groundhog Day kind of state. While a good number of the events shown are the same, they're part of a new…
The storage in the 4GB model is internal flash memory. You can add a HDD to it, but unlike the PS3, the 360 HDD has a special firmware on it. There are non-official drives out there that are cheaper than the MS ones, which, far as I know, work fine for 360 content - where they run into problems is XBox backwards…
Toasting Pop-Tarts makes them snack-worthy. Raw Pop-Tarts are survival food.
If you follow the link to the site (and let Google translate it or whatever, if you don't speak Japanese - I don't anyway) it seems like the site has a ton of lists like this. Just like you'd get on plenty of U.S. sites. It's not a gaming website. It's a site with (among other things) a crapload of "relationship"…
I think it's less a matter of hiding the old mechanic, and more a matter of making it work despite technical limitations. Hitboxes and projectiles are probably simplified, by necessity, relative to how they would be in more focused games like fighters or FPS. Since you can't dodge/roll infinitely, it's probably easier…
There's a fair bit regarding the bugginess of later-game content, as it was not tested to nearly the degree that the starting areas were. Plus balancing things...though Arenanet has been quite active in addressing some of it.
They've said it could, but not much has been shown to actually be doing so. Hands-on writeups from Digital Foundry (like from E3 http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-vs-wiiu-e3-2012) and the like have not really indicated that large of a leap being apparent. There's been plenty of rumors and conjecture,…
To clarify, I think the Wii U will wind up being less of the "budget development" system that the Wii was. It still could be that, but the increased costs of being an HD console too, compared to the lower expectations that tend to be placed on direct-download titles on any platform, make me think it'll be less…
I think it's less that, and more that from what we've seen so far, the next MS and Sony systems won't have to be monsters in order to still create a sizable performance gap.
The new model is a top loader. The right side of the ridged part in the middle slides to the left. Top loaders are usually seen as more reliable as there are fewer moving parts to have break. Should be cheaper to make, at least, though the MSRP doesn't reflect it.
Graphics aren't actually at that level on consoles yet, however. It's common for 360 and PS3 titles to upscale to 1080p, but nearly all are 720p or lower native resolution. Even the Wii U is not standardizing 1080p yet, as Nintendo confirmed first party titles so far are 720p (here…
In addition to utilizing crafting for an XP bonus (it's more productive to discover recipes than crank out the same stuff if you are), you'll XP faster if you do push on to higher level areas when you can.
My assumption is more that Bioware coulda/woulda held off on the release of DAII longer if not for EA. I don't know for sure if that was the case, but the game felt like it was rushed out the door to meet a deadline. Something that Origins did not seem to be particularly subject to.
Not really, no. For the most part, there's no real "cheating" in art, short of claiming other's work as your own. There might be more or less efficient ways to do things, but in general, artists do what works for them.
Well, no, I'm observing the typical behavior of many users I've seen. More might feel compelled to manage things with the Start screen, but it's still something that MS should have accounted for, just like they should have allowed users to choose not to use it entirely, or something in between.
