The trolley problem is retarded because in practice allowing the situation to exist where by the decision has to be made is already a safety failure. The big difference between real life and hypothetical philosophy is that people should not be on the tracks and a tram is almost always automated and derailment sections

Low quality cheap inverters also are typically unreliable and possibly even dangerous in their construction quality. 20$ is way below my too cheap to be true price. The 300 watts is also only a peak rating not continuous.

Don’t ever plug an inverter into an always on outlet as they have a constant current draw even if nothing is plugged in and if there is no low voltage battery disconnect you break your car battery as they don’t like being fully discharged. When your running your car remember that most outlets can’t supply many amps

I have had bad experiences with AUKEYs low voltage equipment and internal tear downs show some pretty low quality work so I would stay far away from their high voltage DC>AC inverter especially for 20$ which is very cheap. For reference a high quality pure sine wave inverter from Samlex PST-300-12 300W costs around

GFCI circuitry takes up too much space to fit that and a USB charger in the case of a outlet. If you want it built in then just replace the box with a two gang and have the GFCI on one end and a USB outlet box tied to the load terminals so it has GFCI protection and provides some ports. You would also get two more AC

You’ll regret it when you need QC1/2/3, USB type C, multi-voltage charging in the future. Replacing outlets is far more of a hassle than replacing a brick. The easy solution is wait for good amazon sales on anker chargers and have enough for every room you might need charging in. Same for USB cables once you get

I believe the spring prongs only line up with one set of screws so your “ok” with kitchen outlets but I would not use this ever because spring contacts are a bad idea.

The bricks will more reliably quick charge, fast charge, ... as they are either designed for the device or are multi-standard chargers. Also while the outlet probably does have surge protection I would rather have a discrete power bar as surge protective components have a finite life and need periodic replacement (a

I would not like to trust sliding spring contacts to maintain good contact even if the current is low the inrush current to charge the capacitors inside the unit can cause arcing and while it may not start a fire most homes now have AFCIs on all rooms or the bedrooms which can trip with any bad or marginal connection

The main problem is I doubt many of these support quick charge 3.0/2.0/1.0 or USB type C high voltage charging currents. The other problem is that if something breaks or the charging protocols change you will be stuck with what is almost certainly just at best a 2.0A USB 5V charger embedded into your wall socket.

So your basically saying you 100% trust the developer of an evil DRM technology. And do not believe it has any performance impact at all while at the same time believe it does have a minor or greater impact.

So the developer’s own FAQ saying it does in fact have a performance impact even if it shouldn’t be “perceptible” is not evidence enough. Do you literally believe all marketing is 100% true and should be taken at face value. Your seriously underestimating the amount of marketing BS Denuvo is using.

I game on PC mostly so DRM is a big problem since many companies seem to think PC users are all trying to hack/pirate/ruin their games.

You typically can’t start a Denuvo game the first launch without being online and even if Steam is offline they can still talk to Denuvo servers to update the activation/encryption. If you try to go fully offline for a few days even if Steam Offline is still happy in many games Denuvo does not work. This is another

If you crack the RFID/NFC encryption you can pirate the physical object’s digital codes as well. But the main draw is that people like the physical objects too which adds some real value. People would not be very happy with a blank white RF Card.

I highly prefer GoG where possible over Steam. Steam’s consumer practices are not extremely good. They where essentially forced to support refunds and forced to stop illegal gambling. These are things a responsive company should change before their hand is forced.

I had a console game that complained about being put into a modded console and saying I was a pirate. Except I bought the legit copy to support the developer. That was until that happened then because of their crappy non-logical DRM I returned the game. Crippling paying customers by accident is a very bad idea. Bugs

It is not completely invisible try debugging the game for performance problems and it will crash your PC for you. And if your into deep mods like Skyrim has (Script extenders, community patches, ...) these are all made impossible or very difficult with Denuvo anti-tamper DRM.

They can incorporate a statistical balance check for multiplayer and in game patching to see roughly how many verified buyers exist vs graymarket and pirated copies. That why they can have a real handle on piracy and illegal legit keys and prove how DRM might affect them.
