“detected” can be manual, semi-auto, fully automatic. There authentification system clearly supports manual bans and it worked as they designed they can ban anyone for whatever reason or non-reason. Even if they tried to ban a pirate it wouldn’t work because they never connect to any auth server in the first place

Private servers for WoW are completely different than a private server fot GTAV. Most of the game runs server side on WoW most of GTAV runs client side. WoW has no single player offline mode, GTAV has. WoW is a subscription service for said access to public servers, GTAV is not.

The “piracy” bit is obviously the fact on a private mod server they don’t get micro-transaction revenue so in effect they are facilitating “piracy” because people don’t need to buy virtual fake currency anymore.

It is like a game that said my console was modified so the game would not run. I went and returned it as not working and got a pirated copy which worked just fine. I don’t know why companies don’t want my money. If someone has a cracked copy of GTA they can run private server mods and they can’t be banned obviously.

Doesn’t seem like that actually is the case Rockstar both detected and banned them from accessing their legitimately purchased and authenticated game even when they were on private servers. The auth mechanism obviously is separate from the online game mode.

Obviously you steer a train with these, (Magnetic levitation as well)

You really don’t seem to understand how this comments section works. Saying people who have negative comments should not comment is a very poor way of arguing.

Facts,

I think it is like a steering wheel lock just instead of locking the wheel you just plain remove it so that a thief has to get another steering wheel or appropriate tool or steal the wheel. With everything being so rare and cars being especially rare it makes sense.

People also can comment freely as well. Hating on something that is actually stupid actually makes sense. Google DeepDream is just a crappy photoshop filter and in no way shape or form demonstrates a computer dreaming.

Instead of making useless crap Google how about improving search by image so it actually finds images that are not just smaller/larger/cropped versions of the same image.

It isn’t a dream and it isn’t an AI. Neural networks barely model neurons and this entire image in garbage image out demo just shows how limited even deep neural nets are. Microsoft’s live translation system is much better demo for neural networks because it is actually useful.
