What about Product Managers?

25mph on the highway? smells like a typo :)

That concept looks a lot like Wuppertal’s Schwebebahn (hanging train)

No problem :) I’m all too familiar with these platforms, but I’m going to play it safe and stick to the already public information so Daimler and Honda don’t team up to bully journalists.

One quick correction: W116 should be W166. And the GLE Coupe is technically a C292

I already did... RHD E30 from England. The deal fell into my lap, and it was a great excuse to burn up some extra Euros from an Ex-pat assignment I had in Germany. So let’s call it an “investment”

Active Suspension is still out of reach to be considered mainstream I guess, but that could have been a nice #11

There are 6 or 8 2008 Dodge Magnum SRTs out there with the model refresh. I don't know if they were ever sold, but I know Chrysler still have 1 or 2 out @ Chelsea.

Will you guys stay the extra week and hit the 24h Nürburgring as well?

What about the Bilstein systems in the 2013-2014 Shelby GT500 or the 2014+ Viper? I was very impressed with those systems over nasty MI highways. The confort modes made the nasty concrete buckles disappear, and the sport mode was exactly like a weekend warrior would set them up at the expense of kidney comfort.

There was talk of an S-Class convertible from some german-language website a while back. is that dream dead now?

Higher end W205 models will have the same Airmatic active suspension offered on this S-Class. Not sure if MBC is offered, but the Bilstein active dampers will be there.

four words:
Pre-production Approval Process (PPAP).

I think you switch the pictures from 4th and 5th gear...

Whats funny is all these manufactures are using technology from the same suppliers.
S-Class = ZF Sachs ABC system or Bilstein Active Dampers as base
Jag = Bilstein DampTronic 1
Porsche = Bilstein DampTronic 1

Did it have the Performance Pack? I'm interested to see what the bi-state dampers feel like to a NYC native. I've driven both the Viper and GT500 with the Bilstein dual-mode system briefly over cobblestone and highway and thought the system worked very well. But that was only for a short time and no traffic. What did

There is a 100+ year old hanging train in operation in Wuppertal Germany. The city (which used to be two seperate cities) runs along the Wupper river and is situated in a very narrow valley. Because space was at a premium for public transportation, the good people thought it would be best to situate a hanging train

Neutral: Equipping the new W205 C class with the same air spring + active damper technology as the S-Class is a step in the right direction (Except for the Magic Body Control nonsense). Then it can set itself apart from the competition on ride quality and driving dynamics, IF people shop around and put their asses in

That technology is far from being cost effective in serial production. ABC (Magic Body Control) is about as close to cost-effective as you can get, but its not the same. That Bose system is only as good as the software that controls it. It still has miniature shock absorbers for the imperfections too small for the
