I agree, particularly in the South. I'm from that region, and I've been told plenty of times there that a man needs more money to provide for his family. It's a stupid plan, but not totally without basis.

True. Me, drinking around any sort of pettable animal:

I must say, nothing about this thread makes me want to try deep throating. What's the attraction other than pleasing him? How is it better than a regular beej?

Same here. My cleaning guy is awesome.

and don't forget, you can only buy beer by the case (from specific beer stores), or at least that's how it is in eastern PA. Wine is sold only in the rare liquor store. I still have PTSD from my 3 years there. It was so bad I ended up fleeing the country altogether.

For the reason that has been explained before: a large percentage of the time, a rejection, no matter how polite, invites an angry, abusive or persistently pleading response. Silence tends to get fewer (though not zero) nastygrams in return.

I'm 5'1" and have always wondered why I rarely get asked out by short guys even though I actually prefer shorter guys. I'm happily dating a 5'5" guy now, but it's been years since I dated someone under 6 ft.

I wonder if it's because (in my experience) most of the men who ogle attractive female athletes don't care about the sport they're playing? They often say it doesn't compare to the mens sport, but they'll watch and root for the hotties.

Personally, I think hockey players have the best asses though you can't see them on the ice, which is a crime against humanity. It's funny to me that female hockey fans get the same abuse and are often called puck bunnies, when actually they wear so much gear you can't tell what they look like.

This. I'm happy my friend is happy, and I'll listen and admire as a way of sharing the happiness. But it has a limit, and I'll only listen to wedding updates every so often, not every day ad infinitum.

In the UK, friendly kissing is pretty common. Usually the cheek kissing, but close friends might pucker up and plant one like Keira did (closed lips). I didn't see that as particularly sexy, much less as cheating as someone said on this thread.

I've lived in Europe for about a year now. Only recently did it penetrate my cultural fog that I didn't actually have to look at the numbers on the bills because they were different sizes and colors.

Well, there was a post going around Facebook about how awful Uggs are because they are made out of … wait for it …. THE SKIN OF SHEEP!!! I mean, how would anyone know that "sheepskin boots" were made of the skin of sheep? Next they'll say that leather is made out of animals!!??

I totally think girls/women should be able to be Hitmen! I use to coach girls hockey and would love to see some in Major Junior (Canada), a feeder for the NHL.

To be fair, if you go to a country, you'll find that the residents who never emigrated elsewhere are likely to be more ignorant about foreign matters than immigrants you find in a foreign country. I live abroad and have done so in several countries, and each have their own ignorant populations that you wouldn't guess

The case for FB likes as protected speech involves public employees fired for supporting their elected boss' opponent, as evidenced by them liking the opponent's FB page. That's VERY different from saying FB bans are censorship.

I just want to note that no one has ever given me a mammoth, either. Is that what you get on your wedding day if you "save yourself" for marriage? Did my sluttiness cheat me out of a mammoth??

Klissell, sounds like you are me 10-15 years ago. Young looking PhD student, "too cute" to be in science, etc. I called people's reactions when I started talking about science the "talking dog" syndrome, as in people were too shocked at hearing me say science stuff for whatever I said to actually register. One stupid

There's a certain amount of truth to this - if you don't protect your intellectual property, you might end up dedicating it to the public domain. I imagine that after filing the suit, BB will settle with Goldie Blox for a nominal sum just to retain their rights.
