A slight difference like that can easily be attributed to different monitors. For instance I have two Hannspree Monitors, an older one and a newer one. The older one is noticably more orange, and to match the color I gave it a 4° hue offset: http://www.colorhexa.com/ff2f00

Graphics are pretty weak, barely any better than the GameCube games. I suspect this is probably cause it started out as a Wii project, but pretty disappointing for one of their flagship titles.

Trolls find ways round stupid registration requirements. But when Gawker gets hacked and your email leaked it's the regular people who get screwed.

"Exactly my point though. There's no difference between a big analog stick and a thumbstick, technologically."

"Which is irrelevant since there is no difference in the underlining technology of Sony's big analog sticks or small ones (potentiometers+analog to digital converters). BUT since he did specify ANALOG, Nintendo's was digital."

Bllshit. Floating currncies are subject to fluctuations. Deal with it. I doubt anybody's going to put up with the language barrier just to save few bucks anyway.

You can still do that. USA and Canada are the same region.

Yeah, for smaller games there's no motivation for region locking.

No. But significantly better nails it.

Well, one briefly mentioned idea doesn't exactly make a good game.

Well, that's the approach that can easily get you in trouble. First you need a fun concept or prototype, and *then* you make your game.

Okay, I could go and start explaining the scenes I found really powerful and stuff like that. But I realize that it's got a lot to do with how you personally experienced the game, and this is where nostalgia and the rose-tinted glasses can take over. It certainly had the privilege of coming at the right time.

People are getting way too excited about this game. At the moment there's nothing to suggest this couldn't just be FFX / FFXIII all over again.

Everything can be made to sound exciting as an MMORPG. The problem is that a lot of stuff just isn't as fun or engaging as it initially sounds. What would being a "true" gym leader entail? Battling n00bs who need a badge? Having some kind of on-duty commitment?

People need to chill. It all depends on what definitions you use.

I've found a lot of programming to be a very rewarding type of work. Conception, design, implementation and initial testing are all present in the type of work. You go through these cycles frequently, often multiple times a day and this makes it inherently well-paced. The fact that there are so many volunteers working

"He said Analog Joystick, which it has 2."

The Sony controller was a traditional handheld joystick. Nintendo put the thumb stick on their Gamepad, that was the difference. In response Sony developed their dual analog controller, which they indeed managed to ship before the N64.

The omission of the world map is probably what made it feel so linear to me. It made returning to places so tedious that it was easier not to bother and instead continue with the corridor.

Probably not much between the two. The rest is for the fanboys to decide.
