Well, per departmental policy, I rarely give out solid As, and last semester I gave out more to men than to women, so no (memory is iffy but it was probably 3 or 4 As to men and 2 to women).

THIS! OMG I am tired of “Grades this grades that.” “Grades” are not handed out evenly and fantastic bias exists in who gets what grades. Black boys especially get shafted by this, just having a black male name on your paper is going to get you fucking canned in grades.
Did you read what you cited? Boys who did not match teachers patterns of behavior were downgraded.
