Same here - when I got to “influencer” I upgraded my opinion of the headline to “Miranda Lambert Was Right.”

I was on the fence about which side I was taking, but “the actual women taking the selfie, influencer Adela Calin...” settled that...
That is the statement of a person with zero self-awareness. In other words, an (aspiring?) influencer.
No. NO.
“Calin added that she and her friends attempted to get some group shots before the concert began, however, she said the lighting wasn’t ideal at the time.”
God I wish “influencers” would just fuck off. They don’t have to die, necessarily, but “fuck off” is the minimum.
It absolutely can. I’ve been to multiple comedian shows in venues as big as an NBA stadium that required you to lock your cell phone up in a pouch.
Her own fans were the ones asserting their entitlement to filming her concerts: they paid for the privilege to be there, so they should be able to do what they want.
“It felt like I was back at school with the teacher scolding me for doing something wrong and telling me to sit down back in my place,” she told the outlet. “... I feel like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature and vain. But we were just grown women in our 30s to 60s trying to take a…
Seriously. This “influencer” is probably super stoked this happened. She’s going to get way more clicks out of videos of her whining about it than she would have from the original selfie alone.
“influencer Adela Calin”
Oh, well, it was an *influencer*, not a regular punter, so I guess that makes it alright! I hope that Lambert apologized for interfering with their work and damaging their clout.
The animated GI Joe is so good. We might have to fight about this.
The GI Joe movie gets a pass for two reasons; “COBRA LALALALALALA!” and “I was once a man!”.
Why would this not be a gameshow?
Flash in the pan!
You actually could care less!
Luckily, due to the film’s runaway success, it should be fairly simple to divert a paltry $20m of the profits and pay all the animators a $10,000 project bonus. It’s not an excuse for poor labor practices, but at least we can all agree that workers deserve to see some of the fruits of their labor, right?
You know what sucks? I can never shorten the title of the original series (which I deeply enjoy) without causing confusion. If I say “I love Avatar,” people’s first thoughts will be a shitty James Cameron blue people movie. Call it The Last Airbender and people will think of one of the worst movies ever made.
Not movies, but the oners in each season of Daredevil on Netflix were pretty spectacular.
