If I remember correctly that is the Kamikaze Water Slide. I never went down it myself but I know people who did and let me tell you, those wedgies were no joke.

True! “Traction Park” was how the staff referred to it as well.  I have heard “Class Action Park” before and it’s good, but it never stuck as well as Traction did.

For the most part, the area of the park where I worked, “Motor World,” was not especially injury-prone. Which is surprising given how lax everything was. The speedboat racing “track” was a swamp filled with snakes. The “grand prix” track was designed so it was nearly impossible to finish a lap without spinning out…

It’s true.  I think most of the fatalities were drownings.

The bleachers at the bottom of Surf Hill were a prime lunch spot for teen employees. I swear they must have designed that “ride” intentionally to separate people from their swimsuits.

Action Park was my summer job all through high school.  Every ridiculous and frankly unbelievable story you’ve ever heard about it?  Yeah, that really happened.
