I’ve honestly never understood the appeal. The one time I drove one was a rental SUV of some kind and it was atrocious. The interior was like a ‘90s CR-V, the CVT transmission was frustrating and the whole thing was incredibly underpowered. Plus it listed to one side at the slightest hint of a corner.

Yeah, I’ve always heard and had the impression that 90's Saab turbos are pretty much the fastest in normal driving conditions. 50-70mph, overtaking speeds, is where it’s at when it comes to normal driving. 0-60 means nothing and top speed even less.
