Pedantic much?
I love my abomination :( But I was disappointed to pop the hood and see the weird V6 and not the greatest 4 cylinder motor ever created, the 2.3L HOT. The V6 is fine, if a little weird and somewhat thirsty. It’s smooth and torquey. Just nothing else one can do with it. It doesn’t even have a wastegate.
I miss the multi-click humor from the early RTS games.
I’m a few days in, and the questlines absolutely suck. I seriously have never given less of a shit about a quests than I do right now. These snake people are so damn cheesy, it’s like some bad b-movie outfit. The little fox guys are kinda cute I suppose.
I was definitely wishing I had sprung for snow tires on it this past winter, as the all seasons made me sad. I usually have snows on my vehicles. In the past, I had a Viggen with snows. We got bombed with all the snow one night, and my car was buried to the roofline thanks to the snow plow piling it up. Dug out my…
To be fair, if it’s the V6 turbo, it’s a bitch to get the backside V’s DI cart off. The front one is a three minute job, two of which are spent trying to find where the hell I left my star screwdriver.
Seconded. They may have lost some of their Saabness from the 80s models, but overall they’re really not hard to work on at all. Pretty straightforward setup, if slightly different from your run of the mill GM or Honda motor.
When I traded in my Viggen on a new 9-3 sedan, I told the dealership the new Viggen owner could reach out to me with any questions, since I had done some audio modifications. He did, and he was a nice kid who was really loving the car. Fast forward a couple years, and he was t-boned by an asshole and the Viggen was…
I have this exact year car, except in SE guise (200hp 3.0L V6 asymmetrical turbo). Can’t see the exhaust tip, no SE badge, and different wheels, so this has to be the 170hp 2.3L 4 cylinder turbo. I paid $1800 for mine (I think it had 17xxxx on the odometer). It’s been a great car. There will be the expected issues…
I had snows on all of my Saabs, including my 94 9000 Aero and 99 Viggen. I had no trouble with steep drives or being stuck in snow. In fact, I had to help a neighbor get his 5-series AWD wagon out of the same snowbank my Viggen had no trouble climbing out of after a massive snowstorm.
I’ve heard this disdain of the plastic fender flares before. What I find odd is why do people hate it on the TourX, but the other wagons like the Audi AllRoad or Golf Alltrack that have it get a pass? I think it looks fine. It’d look better if it was an option that I could uncheck.
I knew they were cutting corners on these shitbox model 3's, but damn son.
There are these amazing things called snow tires.
Seriously. My lust for the TourX knows no bounds. If only Buick would offer a lease incentive on it! But they’re really pushing the Regal Sportback over the TourX, which is stupid, because the Sportback is terrible and not a wagon.
185k on my 2000 9-5 SE wagon. I love the stupid thing so much, but I know at some point there will be a repair that will be more than what I paid for the car ($1800). And that will be a very sad day.
M2's are for badge whores and internet racers. Bullitt Mustangs are for people who want a real badass car and don’t give a shit about the fractionally higher skidpad numbers the overhyped BMW puts down.
Also, why does every blog review of American cars have to talk about plastics on the interior? Do you really spend…
17 YEARS? Why the fuck are you on a car site if you plan on keeping a bland shitbox for 17 years? Wow.
Your opinion. If your paid-for car suddenly needs $3000 in various work (clutch, AC, water pump, or you’re an idiot and bought a Mini Cooper S and you had to drop $6k to replace the motor because BMW are dicks) then your no car payment just cost you $250/mo. And there’s no telling what might actually be roadworthy and…
