Been playing it all day in NZ, haven’t got any gold yet but you get tons of drops from the “pokestops” which are absolutely everywhere, like one every two blocks or so sometimes even closer. I could only imagine having to buy stuff if you literally didn’t want to walk anywhere and still be able to catch pokemon.
