Can’t disagree here. Was very excited to see this movie in theaters and it was so bad that I was put off from watching the series until it was entirely done airing. If they had just released it on Cartoon Network like they originally intended, the stakes would have been much lower and it would have been more obviously…

It could still be an origin story, just John Stewart’s. There recent DC animated Green Lantern movie was just that. Except in that, John got Hal’s ring (for reasons that aren’t exactly comic-accurate).
