As an owner of a 2006 Mercury Monterey that I traded a Jeep Cherokee for, I can attest to this. Just had it filled with a full-size dresser, dining room table, and four chairs with room to spare. Only get 20mpg, though.

I guess I’m going off the idea that autos generally shift faster and didn’t factor in overall drivetrain loss. The Evo X also came with the SST trans. I wonder if its losses are as great as a conventional auto trans and if it could be built to handle the million HP this thing is making. I guess if they thought it…
I’ll venture to guess if they can build an 8 second Evo, they can build a trans for it.
I imagine they’d squeak out a few tenths if they went to an auto trans, too.
For six glorious months in 1984, we had a sweet automotive theme park right here in the U.S.A. This one had rides, too.
LaFerrari Demon
Dodge Caliber Demon.
I don’t believe so. I think they brought them back briefly in the 90's. Ebay or garage sale is your best bet.
I made guns and Iron Man armor out of mine...

Don’t forget He-Man. And Construx. Anybody else play with Construx?
I would, just for the “WTF is that?” reaction.
“I don’t care how many turbos or gears it has, a 260hp 4-banger isn’t nearly enough for a car that has a sporty badge.”
When I’m next to a semi and we go under an overpass. I’m certain its gonna catch and tip over on my car. I know that exact scenario is almost impossible, but that’s the point of it being irrational, is it not?
Beat me to it.
Impalas are sweet cars. The 3.6 is a nice sounding motor and has been around long enough that all the bugs are worked out. If you check around, you can get an LT or even Premier for under $30k. At least go for the LT, so you can get the touchscreen radio, backup camera, power options, etc.
Porsche certainly thinks it’s the best of the bunch.
According to a former co-worker who’s family were large-scale farmers, they needed to purchase new equipment every few years because it wasn’t cost effective to overhaul them.
Wait till they find out it’s a 2-speed Powerglide...
