Your dad still has a working DVD player from ten years ago? He must never use it, either.

BTW, if you’re single and female and drive a stick shift, we should probably go ahead and get married yesterday.

The 850 was the best car Volvo made IMHO. I fell in love with them when I discovered the T5-R in college. They just run forever, handle pretty damn well for a FWD, and look so gorgeous!

Maybe I’m too stuck in my experience with the 1983 Cheyenne I bought in high school with a straight-six, a two-something rear end and four-speed overdrive manual trans; first gear might as well have been third in that dog.

I happen to be of the unattached variety, yes.

I tell this to all the parents coming in to buy a car for their kid. Manuals make you use both hands and both feet, so no fiddle-f’ing around with phones while driving, and you can see the light click in their head when I say it. When I bought a stick shift car for my kid, he objected with, “But, I don’t know how to

$140K will get you a Yukon XL Denali with enough money left over for a Suburban LTZ. Both perfectly acceptable for the Hamptons/rich rapper crowd.

I didn’t even read the post. I immediately scrolled down and voted CP.

Since it’s related to engine size, I’m going with undisplacemented.

I like it.

There have been SS models of the HHR and Chevy’s smaller SUV, the TrailBlazer

I had one. It was the most bad-ass toy ever.

It’s a Green Machine.

Those were made by Marx Toys. Definitely for the proletariat.

Exactly. Pay the $4 a month for towing on your insurance, damn cheapskates.

I’d go with a G8 GT (GXP’s command over $30K for a good one). Cheap-ish to maintain, practical sedan configuration, contains arguably the best V8 ever made, lots of aftermarket for said engine, and good-looking to boot!

My Volvo carries an Argentinian Dogo and a Rottweiler, thank you very much...

Beat me to it...
