Incoming FFVIIR-2, etc.
I understand what you mean, but, while I recognize that I may be in the minority, I don’t have a computer at home. I’m on one all day at work and don’t feel like buying one to sit at when I get home too. Having a console at home that is dedicated for gaming means that I only use it when I want to sit down to game or…
It looks like that’s basically what Fallen Jedi is doing, the basic troopers are one-hit, and the more skilled enemies have a posture bar like in Sekiro. The real question is how tight the combat feels when it comes out. It’s one thing to recreate the system, it’s another altogether to get the feel right.
I’d like to add that for coop, Wildlands does so much right it’s hard to list. Sure by the end of the game you’ve done each activity plenty of times, but each new location changes the angle of approach and it almost always feels fresh. And when it doesn’t feel fresh, it feels like you have an opportunity to coordinate…
Same. The moment to moment gameplay in both Division games and Wildlands has been consistently satisfying, and the world has enough variety in design and set dressing to make it feel like you are almost always seeing something new.
And now I will buy my first sports videogame in all of my 30 years as a gamer.
This is awesome, and I’ll probably check this update out too for a while.
To be fair, it’s only a spoiler if you know that it’s spoiling anything. Otherwise, dropped casually like that it means nothing to someone who hasn’t seen it.
I loved Burnout Paradise because they understood the beauty of car crashes and how to balance that with fun gameplay. The cars could hold up to a hefty beating, especially with regards to jumping, but as soon as you clipped a hard corner, particle effects galore.
I made it a little further than you on LOST. I couldn’t take it anymore when they went for days before even the most survival-savvy of the lot decided it would be a good idea to look for a fresh water source.
I was under the impression that as long as you can’t net positive USD, it’s not legally a gambling issue. Which is probably why they can casually add a casino to GTA without worrying about jurisdictions.
I guess it only counts as real life gambling if you can exchange your virtual winnings for real money?
I gotta say, this plight your friend and I share definitely helps to avoid the general rage around disappointing game launches. By the time I even beat the main story of the Division 1, the 1.4 title update had dropped and none of the initial endgame complaints were relevant anymore.
Came here to say the same. With Mew and Garam vying for second place at any given time.
This has been true since the beginning, so I don’t see why it would be different now.
I haven’t gotten into the DLC at all, but wasn’t the Legacy of the First Blade exactly what you are talking about? There were two major 3-part DLCs for this game, and this is the last part of the Atlantis one.
I just finished the main campaign a few days ago and started a NG+ out of a desire to continue playing. Like always NG+ didn’t do anything for me because I had just done all that, so I stopped to wait for the DLC, not knowing that would be so soon. Needless to say I’ll be downloading this as soon as I get home. Woo!
I am personally torn when it comes to my stance on IP protection and the freedom to riff on something that came before you and inspires you. The game here is wholly original from anything the band created but shares some superficial visual similarities to some of the band’s work. The name is close, but in a way that…
Good point. What about the space horror (?) game Prey and the indie SotC-homage, Prey for the Gods? Style, genre, time period, logo, gameplay format and experience — all completely different.
Another indie dev bullied into responding to the threat of litigation.
