Yeah, SuckerPunch and Guerilla are both first party studios, so they could also do Ghost of Tsushima (but I doubt they will) and Killzone (not sure about that name selling well at the BO though..).

Aside from TLOU and Uncharted, which are fairly low-hanging fruit, there was an animated Sly Cooper movie in the works. They could also do InFamous, and I personally would be tentatively optimistic about a Horizon Zero Dawn movie that wasn’t contracted out.
Uncharted will finally become what it always wanted to be: movies.
You are right, I built a straw man based on OP’s “I’ll be that guy” opener. I assumed being that guy implied following the other associations with casuals vs hardcores.
Without casual gamers there wouldn’t be enough money in the industry to support the habits and desires of hardcore gamers.

Can I please get a John Wick game that’s just the more recent Splinter Cell gunplay and execution system that was in Conviction (and probably Blacklist, though I never played it) and also a bunch of goofy lore.
Do you think the game would have benefited from the campaign being playable in coop? I feel like bad stupid games can get pushed solidly into the good stupid camp by playing with a friend, and ever since the first trailer that’s exactly what I wanted out of this game.
I was under the impression that “hot take” meant “gut reaction not confirmed through research or meaningful reflection”.
Hot take: this is 100% entirely because Japan has reasonably good public transportation available.
I hate to say it, but The Last Guardian’s camera was so bad that it made me not finish the game, despite how many times I played through Shadow of the Colossus. I desperately wanted to love TLG, and the concept was there, but I never got that amazing cinematic flow that I could get in SotC
I mean, sure, I won’t fight you on that.
We did though, it was called Legend and had Tom Cruise and Tim Curry. And it came out a year before the original game.
I hear your point, but apparently it’s easier said than done.
Meanwhile it being actiony is exactly what'll get me to play it this time around
If only Destiny would go 3rd person...
I really liked Wildlands, but for the love of god please no open world Splinter Cell.
92% of it.
Oh definitely, it took us MANY tries, and we had to come back to it a few times after trying with a 3 person squad. But it totally made sense that the Predator would be a bitch to kill, and his battle phases were super cool. It was the one mission that made me really think about what weapon and mods I was using.…
Same, I’m really down to play a sequel to Wildlands, despite, or actually thanks to it’s somewhat meaningless trappings surrounding a solid gameplay loop. I had a great time playing basically the same mission for hours on end with my friends. I really enjoy the Division, but I equally want the same game but where…
