Basically, Roker treated her the same way he was treated — he took away her voice, then got outraged when his was taken away. Payback's a bitch.

Yes! She totally was about to put her hand in her pocket.
Let's all ask the Today show to invite Simone Jhingoor back to talk about the Women's Housing and Economic Development Corporation. In no uncertain terms! It's easy, there's a contact form at: http://www.today.com/id/29041920/ns…
Okay, I realize so far I'm the only one commenting and that doesn't make me feel weird at all!
I love my period! One time I was looking for a room in a shared house, and I met a woman who'd made custom bumper stickers that said, "I love my ." Except I think "love" was just a heart shape. All the letters were white, and the heart and the period were red. It was excellent. She gave me one and I drove around with…
What in the world does the KKK, a distinctly American stain on the history of humanity, have to do with Africa? Didn't it originate in Indiana?
What kills me is "loose" instead of "lose." It's become so prevalent! How do these people think the actual word "loose" is spelled? Do they really think that both words are spelled exactly the same way but pronounced differently depending on the meaning? Is that a rule for any other word in the English language?
Laura, your commentary is the funniest thing (and the most accurate description of Berkeley) I've read ever.
This is a fantastic list. Thanks!
I'm glad you posted that. That makes me feel way better about him.
This happened two years ago! October 2011, not October 2013! Check the dates on your links. Wtf?
Full disclosure: I haven't read the book OR heard the interview! I'm basing this off of nothing! But I'll defend my opinion anyway, in true Internet style. Her dad hired the guy who abducted her. And her sister suddenly remembered him months later? I just have this instinct that her dad is complicit in some way. Even…
100 to 1 odds that window is boarded shut from the outside.
Elizabeth and her mom both seem like incredible people. In an interview, she quoted her mom as saying, "He took 9 months of your life. Don't give him any more." I thought that was very powerful and healing.
I dated this guy for almost two years. The whole time he was "very private" (i.e. secretive) about his last relationship. What he did tell me was that it lasted 10 years — all of his twenties — and that it was the only time in his life that he was really in love.
You know them??? Tell ALL! How did they get the dress to fit? How did he know she'd say yes? Where did he get a private plane? Was it from the church? Why did she want to be married on the same day she got engaged?
She's not "by herself." She consults a medical doctor, who is an adult and can advise her of her options. Any teenager who could consult her guardian safely would almost certainly do so. Any teenager who can't is at risk for really, truly being "by herself" — with only a coat hanger or drugs or a back-alley…
I totally didn't expect him to be gay. The only way this thing makes sense if they're registered Republicans, too.
I'm too sleepy to do anything more than kick off the house detective work:
I think I missed a news cycle. How does everyone know this latest story is the truth? Sincere question!
