Border guards are not smart people, and they do not have good values.
This take is bad. Fetishizing the centre is, in general, a cancer in the Democratic party (actually, it’s ... the tumour basically *is* the Democratic party at this point), but this take is still bad. Calling out the people who want to destroy the law and challenging them to help you improve it is decently savvy…
^ Fake nerd boy.
... what the fuck do they *want* exactly?
Not being shot by the cops isn’t some kind of unearned privilege that needs to be taken away from white people. It’s a human right. What is the point of this?
People aren’t an infestation, dude.
Oh oh oh oh I think I win/lose at this.
Now. To be excessively fair. I was really jet-lagged. And on a plane, and watching an in-flight movie.
The movie: 1998 Godzilla. Yeah, the Matthew Broderick one. That one.
The scene: about half-way through, Godzilla gets tangled up in the tension cables of ... that bridge in New…

I’m glad he’s being charged, but this turned out less schadenfreud-y than I was anticipating. I hope he repays the community in a meaningful way and becomes a better human being.
Yes, the fight scenes are in-credible.
Something like that, but demonstrably more successful?

In fact, most of the time it’s been *worse* than it is now in terms of partisanship.…
... I’m addicted to my city council’s meetings.
Well, the thing is, the posters who were sitting at the top of the thread when I posted were shitting on the author of the article in a pretty hyperbolic way. It was definitely getting personal. It has nothing to do with Atheists as a whole.
Because the outrage industry is one of the few sectors keeping America’s economy afloat in these troubled times.
Given that the Internet Atheists are out in force in the comments, I just wanted to say, thank you for your essay, I enjoyed reading it and thinking about it.

That was mean, but I laughed.
I was supposed to be there, goddamnit. At the first one. My best friend said he had the tickets thing sorted, and then waited three months (without saying anything) to try to get some. OF COURSE THE TICKETS WERE ALL GONE, DUDE, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT.
20 years later, still angry.
