I feel like people will like it for many of the same reasons people like Minecraft.

Also, they don’t know EXACTLY how much more time development will take them, and they sure as hell want to make sure it’s polished. So better not to say a date and then have headlines blaring about what a messy release it was.

Check out the subreddit if you want to know. You can trade, engage in faction wars, become a pirate, hunt for rare tech... All the space stuff you would expect from any half decent space game. The innovation here is that the playground you’re doing all that in is a vast and truly believable universe.
