I’m going to ask this again: Are the people in the video, behind the video, behind this article, gays themselves? They use the term “queer” quite liberally and I really do not believe that it is their place if they are straight.

Fun fact: gay people did not invent the term “queer”. It was and still is used against the gay community.

Are the people who are using this slur part of the community though? Are the people in the video gay, lesbian, or bisexual? Are the people who created the program? The woman narrating it?

If you are not homosexual or bisexual then yes, it is homophobia.

The term “queer” is considered offensive by a large number of people not just me, as I already pointed out. Whether it’s a “reclaimed” word or not is still highly debated in the community.
