Entirely different tracks with different drivers. In any event, why is it that the Nurburgring times don’t add up to you but you have no problem accepting Motor Trend’s Laguna Seca times as gospel (other than that you don’t like the result)?

“I don’t like the result so I’m going to not believe it.” The Guilia has more weight and nearly identical horsepower to a GTS and put down a time within 3 seconds of the GTS’s time. Moreover, the Germans tend to underrate their performance figures if anything (as opposed to the Italians)...

Really? You should probably read a few of them because most of them are very positive.

I mean, they sold every last one of them so it certainly appears there’s a market for them.

Again, you entirely misread everything I’ve written. I’ve said nothing about the wheel’s aesthetics. By the way, I don’t like the steering wheel and agree with you that it’s ugly. My only point is that I could care less if Porsche uses the same steering wheel in the CGT as it does in the Boxster and 911. It’s

So let me get this straight: you think it’s more acceptable for an American car manufacturer who makes garbage $15,000 economy cars with shitty plastic interiors to re-use those parts in a supercar than an extremely well respected, high-end luxury sports car manufacturer? One who, by the way, uses that same steering

I’m not sure mentioning Dodge and Chevy in one sentence out of three constitutes rambling on and it responds to your point because Porsche doing it is considerably less egregious than Dodge or Chevy doing it. I’m starting to sense that you’re actually the one with reading comprehension issues (could also be

I was replying to the sub-comment about the steering wheel in the Boxster being the same as in Porsche’s $500k supercar. There’s literally no other way to read that post.

I’m not talking about whether or not it’s despised. I was only replying to your comment about it being the same wheel used in the Boxster.

The steering wheel was also used in the 911 so maybe it’s just the Boxster that got an especially nice steering wheel for its price point? Either way, the most entry level Porsche is going to be considerably nicer than even the most top of the line Chevy or Dodge so it isn’t like they’re exactly scraping the bottom

Yes, because the QV doesn’t even sound that particularly good.

While I haven’t driven an S3 or TTS, I did own a 2013 S5 and can definitively say that Audi understeer isn’t just some 2000s meme. Moreover, I’ve read several reviews of the current RS3 sportback that’s on sale in Europe and most complained about the car’s understeer.

It will probably destroy the M2 in a straight line maybe but not on anything with corners, unless you find massive understeer to be an enjoyable driving experience.
