Good to see the U.S. Agent chiming in here about his favorite games of the year!

So, I actually haven’t played any other Supergiant games yet (Though I do own Bastion twice over), but I’ve just got to interject this:

Came here to say the same thing. It’s utterly shitty but also unsurprising that a citizen from one of the world’s most racially homogeneous nations might have no understanding or appreciation of racial diversity. It’s Japan, racism and insular attitudes are kinda baked-in: famously closed their borders til Commodore

This right here is exactly why, while disappointing, no one should be surprised by this, Japan does not have a history of healthy representation of diversity in any of its media. But at least it’s shown signs of getting better. I Am rewatching DBZ right now, just began the Buu saga and holy fuck I forgot about the

While still disappointing, I don’t find it very surprising that a developer from a country in which 98% of the population share the same ethnicity and culture struggles to grasp the depht and importance of representation issues.

On the one hand, maybe they’ll cut out all the obnoxious legacy design choices which bog down the Monster Hunter games.

Opinion...
Ghost of Tsushima was superior to the most of the Assassin’s Creed games. The first few were good, then they lost their way.
If anything, they should take a good hard look at Tsushima and figure out how to improve on it.

Ya gotta mark your comment as sarcasm my guy. It flew over so many heads.

Tons of white gamers in wealthy countries who have never known any serious hardship beyond a delayed release date just mentally checked a box that says, “I guess I won’t express that perfectly reasonable opinion in public from now on.”

This is some Qanon level brainworms

That’s. NOT. HOW. THIS. WORKS.

Have wishlisted or downloaded demos of all these now to try out though, nice to see the genre expand.

I wish that Loop Hero had inspired a genre as well...and that LH had filled out more, seems like there were item slots it listed and then never used...too bad because between Loop Hero and Gunlocked, there is some

This man deserves to be ruined in every way conceivable, legally.

If you don't think that there's not millions of kids out there who have never heard of DnD then I don't know what to tell you.

I have zero sympathy for the giant multimillion dollar corporation, and I only hope that they can use this as leverage to make Youtube reform their absurdly abusable copyright strike system.

Just play it, man.  I don’t find it enjoyable to watch at all, but get one good run going and you’ll understand.  It just does a lot of small things right, and when you put all those right things together, it becomes great.

Which makes it even more inexcusable when giant publishers which ship multiple bestsellers a year do it.

I have the same concern, but he also knows like literally everyone in the industry and is generally liked. It’s maybe not great without a regular in the sense of it being more than a solo venture, but I have no doubt he will be able to get guests. Maybe he’ll become the Marc Maron of game podcasts?

I’m just glad Jeff’s not done-done, because the stuff where it was him and the others streaming their favorite games was always the best version of Giant Bomb to me. Maybe Patreon is perfect for him? Who knows.

You’re absolutely right. Viewing one person as a person immediately diminishes all other injustices in the world. Truly, justice and goodness are part of a zero sum game.
