If Apple finds an underage worker in a factory of a supplier, They make the supplier return the child to their home, pay for their education, and pay for their basic needs until they are of working age. They also must offer them re-employment.

Comments like these say much about the author, nothing about the subject.

I’m certain Chinese slave labor is not used to make Apple devices. But if you have proof, please... Do look up “slave” in the dictionary first.

I agree with you on some points... But you’ve invested so much energy into that rant, I can only assume that you desperately want one.

OK, I’ll play your game. What modern cell phone costs ALOT less that an iPhone and is not made in China?

Right on, this makes sense. And I’m fine with that kind of data going out, too. Thanks for the explanation!

Awesome, thank you for putting my mind at ease! Mind you I won’t be able to afford on until 2019.

This is different. They’re using Apple’s TouchID database on the phone to authenticate who you are. App developers will still be able to do this with FaceID. What they’re saying is that developers will not be permitted to put something in their app that allows the app to take a picture of your face and compare

They can authenticate using FaceID. They can not build their own separate authentication system in their app. It uses the exact same API call as TouchID.

It’s called a Secure Enclave. A section on your phone CPU that processes the biometric data internally, with all inputs encrypted using your own password as key, and no biometric data accessible from the outside. Only the secure enclave sees and processes your biometrics, and that data not only doesn’t leave your

Maybe take a minute or two to learn about something before you start complaining about it next time?

Probably the best example of this are politicians who “borrow” from BruceSpringsteen or John Melloncamp to use as their theme songs.

Found it - you have to go to the app permissions screen in settings and then top-right to show “all permissions”. Which means you cannot see an overview of who’s using this from the app list.

Wait, are we just listing partisan examples of simple conflict of interest? Because A) this seems rather tame by direct comparison B) I could fill the rest of this thread with much more serious conflicts of interest linked to the current WH and C) according to your own logic, you should be just as outraged by this. I

What your point here? Did you actually read the article? Yeah, Hillary’s brother is a hustler.

For fucks sake, stop using past examples of shitty behavior (by either party) as a justification for what’s shitty now. It doesn’t make it right, and it’s why we are in the current political death spiral we find ourselves.

It’s like if you’re in a group of people who are all the same race. But you have that one person that is different. And you can’t remember their name, so when you mention them to a colleague, you refer to them as the black guy. or the white guy. etc.

It’s really noticeable how compact Apple Watches are when you hold it beside any Android Wear smartwatch... Even the larger 42mm version. It’s amazing that Apple was able to get so much technology into such a small package.
