@Colage: Well said. The list compares Wave to all the services Google says wave is not. Not really a fair comparison. There are other collaboration tools that offer similar functionality. People should be excited by Google's entry into that market, as Wave is set to dominate it. It will do for collaboration and work

@hal9000: Yeah, the logitech iFeel mouse. It was a cool concept, and it replicated a lot of different feelings. One setting would just shake, another felt like you were stretching a rubberband as you moved it... You can get them for around $5.00 online now, but driver support for Vista/7 is non-existent to my

@Chris Garbarino: Forward your old e-mail address to the new one. Have the old one send-as with the new address.

I admit, I'm prejudiced against free e-mail for professionals. But honestly, the free e-mail services are likely much better than that hosted by their ISP for $40 a month on a corporate package. How many have their own domains that are just linked to a hotmail account? You would never know.

I've been 64bit in hardware since 1995 (DEC Alpha Machine). The OS was a 64bit Linux (okay Mostly UNIX, but it had a GUI with the Linux kernel on top of it) that followed 18 months later.

Okay, many people have tried it, and from the looks of the comments, they are largely underwhelmed. When you look at it's design and the features it offers, it's hard to understand why people feel this way.

@uberben: "The farther you sit from the TV, the less the higher resolution matters."

@Frankie Fusco: Comic books are really just rar archives with jpeg images, so both boxee and XBMC can view them the same as any other image.

For the record, XBMC has supported comic books for years, but you do have to download them like any other media. There were scripts that gave you access to online comic sources, but I've not tried them for lack of interest.

@englishman: I too have done my fair share of computer repair. It's been a source of secondary income for me for about 10 years.

If your case is on the carpet, put it up on a desk.

What is optimization? Some would expect the machine to run faster, but that's not stated in what they're selling. Others may infer a different meaning. Perhaps they expect configuration changes to optimize ease of use. Categorizing shortcuts in the Start Menu won't make the system run faster, but it can make it

@shkm: I too would not fault anyone for choosing not to eat meat. What bothers me are the motives behind making that decision.

A bit off-topic here, but your comment reminded me of an argument I had with a woman who was explaining to me how deer hunting was cruel and hurts nature.

Who actually reads a newspaper anymore? They're almost all ads now, and the Associated Press has the journalistic integrity of the Chinese government. The few bits of info I need (local sports scores, occasional classifieds etc) can be found online for free.
