@ShachiCalvus: Totally Agreed on the C.C. permit. However, you never shoot a leg. Always target center mass. One shot is never enough, I don't care what caliber the round is, keep shooting until he's on the ground.

@YasinAntelope: You seem blessed to live in a low crime area. Where I live there ARE people out to get you. Being aware of that danger and preparing for it doesn't mean living in fear. But let's accept your false premise for a moment. When approached by a mugger who threatens your life, fear is a natural reaction.

@cmaceachen: "Really... so you'd rather kill some poor bastard down on his luck than part with a few bucks? That's some good humanity right there."

@Civ2boss: First, I don't mind having to "hack" a solution. The issue is their motive. It's not MS saying "there are not enough customers who want this to warrant the development time". This is MS saying "We don't want you to be able to do this because you MIGHT use it for illegal music sharing".

I'm not a huge fan of Time, but for once they've actually got something worthwhile to report.

Okay, perhaps I'm old-fashioned, but the simpler solution for organizing measuring spoons and cups - Get a large version with graduated markings. I can fill a 1cup measuring cup ½ full if I need a half-cup. I can also do thirds and quarters, even two-thirds measurements with just one utensil. If you know the simple

@latterman: I'm with you guys, this is lame. For starters, lets have the window edges of customizable shape, size, apparent texture, and with each texture, the appropriate reflection/refraction/shadow values. The shell is run from directX, if cheap shareware games can pull off these effects, why can't MS using their

Still can't get past the whole "watching TV on the PC" thing. I'd be into it if they released some scripts for TV based internet media centers. This would be cool on XBMC with a few layout changes to the interface. It has potential, but they need to break free of the viral video crowd and YouTube junkies and start
