Some germs seem to have evolved enough that they have convinced their hosts to propagate them disregarding the danger to our own species. Or people are blindingly stupid.

My biggest takeaway from the post is a question: Is the official look of the novels the glossy-paper version of Prince Valiant at the top left?
I wish I could understand it, is it just as simple they think compromise makes them morally superior compared to the lessors with their base politics? Do they think they actually accomplish anything?
I’ve been following the anti-vax movement both online and in person for over ten years. I’ve attended two Autism One Conferences, where McCarthy was the keynote speaker, and was kicked out of both when I was recognized as the blogger who writes critically of these people. The conferences are one part trade show, and…
The better they can market autism as a terrible, unlivable condition, the more product they’ll sell.
Ocarina of Keeping Time
Of course, they never, ever talk with any actual autistic people. To them, if we don’t come out normal and perfect, we are ruined.
A former customer of mine is one of the leading anti-vaxxers. She blames her son’s autism on his vaccinations. SMDH Get a grip. Although we got lucky with three sons and now three grandsons and they are healthy, sometimes children are born with problems. Just love them and don’t blame it on something as life saving as…
Hey instead of just whining about Splinter’s good reporting why don’t you prove them wrong and do a detailed defense of Beto’s response. Please explain why it was so great instead of the dumb mishmash of bullshit it sounds like when I read it. Show everyone how much smarter than Libby you are. Break it down and tell…
Jumping up on counters is only punk if the dumb restaurant only has ice tea when you want hot tea. Poser Beto didn’t even yell anarchy when he did it.
Boring. The game is built completely around a group of people doing stuff together, and you all need to be able to communicate with each other. There also just isn’t that much to do outside of attacking other players (when you find them).
It might not be the greatest fit for those particular circumstances. While it can be good for pick up and play, in that there’s no power progression that you have to catch up on, the bigger issue is that communication and teamwork are basically mandatory if you are playing with a crew. And you CAN play without a crew,…
How fun is this game if 1) you just want to pick it up and play sometimes (with minimal time investment) and 2) you don’t want to be particularly social while you play (playing with others is fine, but too much coordination with other plays being required isn’t ideal)?
Easily the best gameplay of the series (even if the story was weak at points).
As dumb as that op-ed is I can’t imagine that many U.K. officials or business people are actually all that concerned with it. If this op-ed is like a leak on a boat, then Brexit is like the waterfall that the boat is steadily drifting towards with no oar.
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, who can say, really, both sides have very good points”
I fail to see the substantive difference between him and gop monster if he’s just voting with the gop all the time. Might as well welcome mitt romney into the party.
Chuck is a barely veiled, de facto right winger. He has never met a reactionary he wouldn’t give a platform to or a progressive he wouldn’t denigrate.
I dunno about the “coaching” argument.
If we’re going to buy audience-shouted advice as “coaching,” then that same standard would have to apply to folks shouting advice to the referees from the nosebleeds in NCAA games, to fighters in boxing/MMA matches, and to officials in futbol matches (and the advice to futbol…
I mean you’re not wrong.
