“If I made a video game I would not put many black characters in it. Not because I’m racist. Because I’m not black, and don’t understand their “experience” well enough to create a character with a backstory and whatnot and put them in a game.”

Just made an account (after reading this site and pretty much every other Gizmodo site for years) to say that you’re one of my favorite Kotaku writers, and I love reading your articles- whether they mention race and gender or not. I seriously vicariously play The Sims through your writing.
