IMHO, you price it way too mach. The show is just a fairy-tale in sci-fi setting. It’s kind, sad and sometimes very naive (people like Root or Elias never can be redeemed IRL, and what TM did... c’mon, just remember “24"). Lot’s of backlash also was a problem.

IMHO, article praises the show too much. POI never was an example of high-quality TV. It is just a fairy-tale - good, sad, sometimes very naive fairy tale in sci-fi setting. Also, backlash first for the involving Shoot, than for killing Root of really made fandom toxic.
