Thanks for the response, and sorry I didn’t respond right away. I do have access to a shower...but it’s not the most convenient (across the campus where I work). I think I’ll be able to take some clothes to my office so I can change in there, and just try not to be so stinky.

All I am saying is that that decision (i.e., the decision to not associate with people) is not easy to make or execute for many people. And, I think it does more harm than good. But, again, it is clear I am in the minority in this line-of-thought, and I can see how my privilege places me in this situation.

As I’ve mentioned in other comments, there are more layers to this issue, whether you are able to see them or not.
