I loved the buttons on my old Nook Simple Touch. Touch screen, but there were two buttons on either side of the screen, and you could choose in the settings which buttons(the top or bottom two) were page forward. So you had physical button control in either hand.

Yeah I’d argue the other way around. If I buy an audiobook (which I do, frequently) it’d be nice if they included the text. But I get it, and authors and audio producers and voice actors and publishers all gotta eat.

I effing love to read in the tub. Mostly I do this on my water resistant phone, but I’ve been known to stuff devices in plastic baggies (and drown books, I’m sorry book lovers). I’d totally get in on this if I needed a new device, but I really don’t at the moment.

I swear I’m not much of a car person, but these posts are always so much fun. Maybe I’m more of a car person than I thought. Because now I want to find a fun weird-looking van with decent gas mileage for road trips with my folks.

Hear hear! It makes the stuffing soggy anyway!

Hey, good to know! :)

Acetone might eat the straw, though.

This looks super, and has inspired me to hit the grocery store after work today so I can start prep tonight and be eating this Sunday night. Yum.

Nah, most of the cold brew you buy at the store isn’t concentrated, and certainly the stuff you’re making at home isn’t, unless you specifically set out to make it that way. It’s the deceptively small bottles of cold brew concentrate they sell at Trader Joe’s you’ve gotta be careful with ... you’ll know it’s

I love Sue. I’ve only watched the first season and part of the second (first and second on Netflix, I mean), but I’m sad that I’ll lose her at some point.

Nah, that vibration is normal and how you know it’s working.

Oh my god. I wish I had a smoker. I want smoked thanksgiving.

I am also an iced coffee person. I always have a 2 liter bottle brewing on my counter, unless I have planned poorly (I keep a backup bottle of TJ’s for when lazy gets the better of me, but I prefer my home brewed).

I think I ended up upgrading my Maui flight to an “Enhanced” economy seat. I wasn’t sure of all the differences, but I wanted to be more comfortable for an 8 hour flight, the longest I’d ever done. The section behind me was completely basic, no amenities, basically the same as every plane used for short flights. My

I couldn’t help but notice that this video is a less helpful, but direct, rip off, of See Jane Drill. Maybe go check out this cool lady, folks.

Thanks, sorry for the overshare. I’m just kind of overwhelmed, and it’s hard to get doctors to listen to you.

God, I’ve been hit so so hard this year I’m not sure if it’s SAD or if I need to see my primary doctor and get like a full workup done. I have a diagnosed thyroid issue, but my levels are spot on at the moment, I just had ‘em checked.

There’s even more advantages to making the stuffing separately, in my book. Stuffing that’s been in a turkey is too soggy, plus it makes the center of the turkey take longer to get to temp, which means the bird gets dried out.

These things are magic. I used to sleep with a hot water bottle in the winter, but you wake up with a cold thing sucking the heat out of you. I’m pretty sure the branded bed buddy is just full of buckwheat hulls — I’ve considered making myself one custom, a little bigger, without the scratchy nylon ropes.
