Yeah, seriously. But also know thyself. If there are time options, and one of them is 8am, and you know perfectly well you’re going to be a zombie/asleep then ... don’t do it. Not worth it.

I signed up for a 7am, 3 days a week class one semester. Oh god. I remember where it was on campus, because I had to bike across campus at ass-o-clock in the freezing cold, but I don’t remember what the class was *about*. Or if I made it there more than a few times.

I mean, I like to use one as a water bottle on my trip anyway, so I wasn’t inconvenienced by having it with me. But you do you, just sharing what worked for me :)

I’m a programmer/web dev, and it pisses me off when somebody screws up the tab order, and yet I am also guilty of screwing up the tab order.

The last time I flew, I brought an empty thermos with me thru security (I left the lid open so there wouldn’t be any question), and then made tea in it at the starbucks by the gate. So then I was all set for the plane - hot tea just how I like it, sealed so I could throw it in my bag to board. It was a good decision.

I always liked top-bound notebooks in school. I’m right handed, but they seem like they’d work just as well for lefties since you still wouldn’t have the rings grinding into your wrist.

I always pack my liquids into the little quart baggie, and then, like clockwork, forget to take it out of my bag to put through the scanner. Somehow, I’ve never had a TSA agent point it out or seem to care. Though to be fair, I don’t fly too often either.

I always buy avocados like this. I feel guilty about pulling apart banana bunches (I am aware this is probably silly) but it’s easy to grab a purple eat-right-now avocado, a firmer one, and a green rock hard one, and be set on avocados for days.

  • What, in your opinion, is the one food that is never better homemade? Most pastry, I think, is more effort than it’s worth, and best left to professionals

You’re not alone! Crispix is awesome. I don’t know why. They have the perfect texture.

Well, fine. Maybe the best burger topping is whiskey, then. :D

Here is a story of the best burger I’ve ever eaten.

I really wish Pocket Casts, which is otherwise my favorite, had a feature to allow you to choose to flag all episodes as unplayed when you subscribe. I don’t always pick up a new podcast and start it from the beginning, but ... well, usually I do. And having to scroll to the bottom and start queuing em up to download

:3 I’m planning a Maui trip, and I’m so psyched about the food. Any recs?

I think most people would say a banana that is “just ripe” is one with no brown spots, that has just turned totally yellow or maybe has just a smidge of green still on it.

This makes me want to try Fairlife. I’m not lactose intolerant, but I’m a single person who doesn’t drink that much milk, but I like having it around for coffee or the occasional bowl of cereal. I toss a lot of sometimes really heinously bad milk.

My bed looks really stupid right now. I have a set of Sheex, and I love how they wick moisture away from me (I have a night sweat problem sometimes), but I hate how slippery the top and bottom are together. My sheets just slither off the bed no matter what I do, and my pillows escape. So I have the Sheex navy blue bott

My work’s cafeteria of all places makes fancy in-house pickles. They’re bullshit. If I want pickles on my burger, and I do, I want no-nonsense dill pickles. These pickles taste like plain cider vinegar, and nothing else. They are a travesty. And somehow, over a year after we got this new cafeteria company, sufficient

I have never played an AC game and these comments are fascinating. Board games? I am intrigued lol

After a lot of trial and error and different techniques, I think my favorite vessel for making iced coffee in is an empty 2 liter bottle.
