:3 I’m planning a Maui trip, and I’m so psyched about the food. Any recs?

I can’t get over how great the design of those gamepieces is. I have no idea if the game is solid or if I’d enjoy it (or if it’s geared more toward kids; that’s valid) but I love the design of it and I could see myself buying it for only that reason.

I think most people would say a banana that is “just ripe” is one with no brown spots, that has just turned totally yellow or maybe has just a smidge of green still on it.

This makes me want to try Fairlife. I’m not lactose intolerant, but I’m a single person who doesn’t drink that much milk, but I like having it around for coffee or the occasional bowl of cereal. I toss a lot of sometimes really heinously bad milk.

I hope they were delicious

My bed looks really stupid right now. I have a set of Sheex, and I love how they wick moisture away from me (I have a night sweat problem sometimes), but I hate how slippery the top and bottom are together. My sheets just slither off the bed no matter what I do, and my pillows escape. So I have the Sheex navy blue bott

My work’s cafeteria of all places makes fancy in-house pickles. They’re bullshit. If I want pickles on my burger, and I do, I want no-nonsense dill pickles. These pickles taste like plain cider vinegar, and nothing else. They are a travesty. And somehow, over a year after we got this new cafeteria company, sufficient

I have never played an AC game and these comments are fascinating. Board games? I am intrigued lol

After a lot of trial and error and different techniques, I think my favorite vessel for making iced coffee in is an empty 2 liter bottle.

I have never successfuly made it through a plastic honey bear without it giving up and leaking all over the damn cabinet. I’ll keep it in the jar and use a spoon, personally.

Agreed, I’ve had fantastic luck with Anker chargers and cables too. And nearly anything else I’ve bought from them as well, I trust them a lot at this point.

Sorry, what I meant was that it was interesting that much of the carrot family is poisonous as well, since it’s more common knowledge that much of the nightshade family is poisonous. :)

Ooh, I’d never thought of using nutritional yeast in pesto before. I have a couple of pots of basil plants, and I wanted make piles of pesto and share with a vegan buddy. This sounds perfect *and* vegan-friendly.

Definitely!

I’m moving, and nearly all of my cookware is in boxes. It is also as hot outside as the surface of the sun. Thank you for the dinner ideas... I think I can manage something like this!!

I buy the giant double bags of shredded cheese from costco and freeze one. I wouldn’t do it with nice cheese, but shredded cheese I’ve never even noticed the difference. It’s a great way to stock up and save money.

I hate the top freezer fridge units that almost every apartment comes with. They’re just small and hard to efficently organize so you aren’t just piling shit up and blocking access. Consequently, I did buy a 5 cu ft chest freezer in my last apartment, and I love it. It’s so nice to have the freedom to buy meat from

We eat a lot of nightshades, too. Tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, and even tobacco. It’s funny how much of our food is very closely related to poison. :P

If anybody wants to get into a really decent fountain pen for cheap, allow me to suggest the Pilot Metropolitan. I also have a Lamy Safari, and it’s given me nothing but grief. I liked my Metro so much I bought a second one.

Man, you guys have been living together in a small bedroom for 5 years, with him unemployed and ALWAYS THERE for most of it, and you didn’t kill him? I would have strangled him after about three weeks out of a pure desperate need for personal space.
