Man, I like my Huawei Mate 9. Government suspicions aside, it’s a solid device, especially for someone like me who prefers to buy a device in full and put it on a no-contract plan, as it’s a great price. It’s also got the best battery I’ve ever seen. It’s big, it’s pretty, it works well, it stays alive through my most

Well, there’s also the consideration that “color blind” casting usually defaults white. I don’t think anyone would have been mad about it if they’d cast a Hispanic woman, or a black woman, as the Biologist. One reason this is a problem is because any time the race of a character isn’t relevant, it’s usually cast white.

Oh man it seems like all kinds of skating are so different. I’m learning derby skating right now! I’m the worst at it. I was unstoppable on roller blades as a kid, but quad skates???? Quad skates don’t want to do anything my feet want them to do. I don’t even want to play derby I just wanna screw around on skates haha

Cool, this makes sense to me. Waiters usually introduce themselves to you when you come in, so it makes sense to address them by name if it suits you.

Oh hey neat! My La Croix world is limited to what my local Target carries. I consider myself hashtagblessed when they manage to stock Key Lime.

Argh. Somebody in charge around here really needs to have a word with go.skimresources.somethingorother because external links have been borked for days. Sometimes they work, mostly they don’t ...

I would so buy unsweetened Coke flavored sparkling water. I don’t know if I’d buy it more than once, but I’d definitely try it.

Haha, that’s fair! I’d actually been eyeballing an Apple Watch... they’re pretty. I didn’t realize they didn’t really work with Android, dang. Not that I need a smartwatch... but I can look :P

Opposite here on the computer front, haha. I switched teams at work, and my new team used Macs. I’ve been a diehard Windows user all my life, but wouldn’t you know it? I adore my work Macbook. I’ll probably always have my Windows PC at home (I play games, and I built my PC and like to tinker with it sometimes), but it

It depends on what level the muting happens. Sites can detect ad blocking because ad blocking directly interferes with the Javascript on the page, which can be detected. If Chrome handles the muting on a page level, it *might* be detectable, depending on how it’s done. But if it handles the muting higher up in the

Coke Zero is wonderful.

Oh man, this is genuinely great. I sometimes get visual migraines at work. Not very painful, but bright lights pulse and make me nauseous. I have Stylish set up in Chrome so I can switch it on and it night modes all of my most common work applications, but Slack was a problem.

Maybe it was the TV mode, that hadn’t occurred to me. Ours was all hard wired too.

Have you had any input lag from your retropie?

Just no experience with it, and everybody makes it sound like rocket surgery to care for and not screw up.

Between the idea of a skillet cookie, and quick egg sandwich sized fried eggs, I think I’m gonna have to swing by Homegoods this weekend and see if they still have some itty bitty cast iron.

When I was in college, I worked in the food court of the student union building for a couple of years. The Panda Express management was really nice, and they were the only chain in the place that wasn’t stingy with leftovers. At the end of the night when we closed, they let us come back and fill up a to go box. As a

The only “avocado fries” I want is where I make fries (real fries, with potatoes), put em in a pile, and then pile some avocado slices and other stuff on top.

That’s a shame, I haven’t noticed anything of the sort. Maybe they updated the software and took care of the issue.

Yeah I could probably message Amazon and get ‘em to refund me the difference, but I only paid $40 for it anyway, and it’s solid. I like it.
