Makeup is a skill I really, really wish I’d learned from my mom. I really have less than no idea how to even start, so I haven’t. I’m almost 30.

Weird.
Ergh, this sounds like an awful salad. Maybe it’s just the thought of the stringy bits, which you already said we’re getting rid of. But ... no, nope, I’m good, gimme a pile of spinach or something.
That’s good to know. I really need to catch up on my backlog though lol.
Yeah, I dunno. I like my comic collection, but it’s nice to be able to reread anytime, anywhere, without having to dig out a particular issue. Honestly, most of my comics are in trades (I say that, but I keep finding new series I want to pull ... gah, what a rabbit hole), but part of the perk of buying a floppy was…
I’m not an old, but I love print comics and enjoy putting my hands on a comic. But the free digital copy was nice for, say, rereading on a road trip. Bah. I want my cake AND to eat it.
Yeah, I definitely like it for reading comics I don’t plan to buy. I’d like to read the Civil War 2 stuff, but I’m in no hurry, so I’ll probably subscribe for a couple of months this summer or something.
No, you’ll be a few months out at least. I do subscribe for a month here and there to read back issues I’m interested in, but they want you buying the new ones, so they don’t put them on MU for awhile.
I am very unhappy to hear that Marvel is doing this. I love my codes getting me digital copies of all my comics, I don’t want to get instead whatever Marvel wants to sell me this month.
Definitely. I pretty much only buy Skippy Natural these days. It has all of 4 ingredients (peanuts, oil, sugar, salt), just how I like my peanut butter, and I know it’s safe for the dog.
This was how we crate trained our separation anxiety dog. She no longers cares that we’re leaving, she gets a PEANUT BUTTER KONG. Try to say goodbye, she gives us a side eye, and goes back to her treat.
As a pet rat owner, who understands their behavior quite well: yes, always place along walls, never out in the open. Mice and rats don’t see well, and often navigate with walls. They tend not to like wide open spaces at all, and will avoid going out in the open unless they’re very, very comfortable.
I dunno, I’ve seen pre-peeled, shrink wrapped garlic cloves at the store before.
She was initially a gag character, but something magical happened when a really funny writer (Ryan North of Dinosaur Comics) took her and ran with it. The art is divisive (I personally adore its character and expressiveness, but you’re certainly not alone in disliking it) but the writing is gold.
ME TOO. For all of these reasons, and more.
I saw the title, said to myself: “red hots and whiskey?” clicked the link, wasn’t disappointed.
I looked at this one while shopping, and the price is good, but I ultimately chose one with full velcro over the seatbelt holes, and would urge others to do the same. My dog loves car rides, but on the longer ones to visit my mom, she gets carsick. And in that instance, trust that you really, really don’t want…

I’ve been checking my webcomics first thing in the morning for probably a decade. It doesn’t feel much like a ritual, but if I miss it, it throws me off.
And if you wanna bitch about “natural,” MSG is literally made by evaporating vegetable extracts, including kelp. It’s not even particularly processed, to my knowledge. It’s basically kelp salt. I don’t get people’s obsession with it. Aside from being a decent indicator of crap Chinese food, it’s nothing special.
Ohhhhh yes. I laughed when I saw this article. Creative pursuits always end up with me buying a new pile of things to -make- with.
