Given that you didn’t like Venture Bros I take some pause before recommending Rick and Morty (because there are some similarities) but Rick and Morty is too good not to recommend. It’s a little smarter, a little less satirical, establishes it’s seasonal story arc faster and develops it more effectively... It’s just

Agreed. Retro Studios did an amazing job of making so many of Metroid’s gameplay staples survive the transition to FPS. They did a lot of things other developers hadn’t dared to try yet.

Still holding out for a purple, see-through New 3DS, like the Gameboy Color. That thing was the shit. I don’t care how much I got picked on by others for having a purple Gameboy Color as a kid, that thing was SEE-THROUGH!

It’s still the same CPU, GPU, RAM, and VRAM. Adding more doesn’t change the hardware, it just means there’s more. You do understand that there are more than just one model of those... right?

Oh, I didn’t see that optional overclock when I was looking at spec comparisons. That’s huge! I’m surprised that it’s able to triple it’s clock speed and stay stable.

lol well I’m 29 now and by kid I mean teenager. Might’ve seen you on Gamefaqs though, but I wasn’t very active in the community. I just saw your name today and was like, “Ok I’m pretty sure either I’m going crazy or this person is on all internets.”

Well, at least you spent less money buying your handhelds than if you got two New 3DS’. lol

Rachel, did you used to do games journalism at some point back in the day? Like, on 1up.com or something? I swear I feel like I keep seeing your name on gaming websites from since I was a kid.

I appreciate your “isn’t nearly as bad as they insist.”
I dunno, maybe I just enjoy the way Team Ninja makes their games control (the Ninja Gaiden reboot was my favorite game of that console generation), but I could never wrap my head around all the hate for Other M outside of the fact that they made Samus so emotional.

I’m really excited to see how deep the RPG elements go in this game. I’m hoping this game ends up being more Monster Hunter-esque with epic bosses to take down for more powerful upgrades to your suit. Randomized “dungeons” would be awesome, too. You and your buddies could go out hunting Space Pirates on the surface of

You beat me to the punch with your comment, I basically came to say the same thing. This game has a lot of potential. Just because it takes place in the Metroid universe yet doesn’t feature Samus is no reason for the extreme criticism we’re seeing from the community. I’m glad Stephen took a similar stance reporting

Yeah. The New 3DS has more processor cores and RAM, but the hardware itself is still the same. I’m finding it hard to believe that the New 3DS is capable of SNES emulation but the old 3DS somehow isn’t.

During the Nintendo Direct stream going on right now, they said “coming exclusively the New 3DS” and showed the New 3DS logo, so I’m thinking it really wont be available on original 3DS.

I got the impression from this review that there was a lot of singleplayer content in this game.

If you click the link in the article to Nintendo’s website it says there will be no NX news.

Well, they did say in the video that they plan on including all the features they’ve been working on in the PC version as well. I think it’s fairly safe to assume that all the missing content people have been complaining about, and Harmonix has been teasing is in fact in the works, are intended to be included at

That EgoRaptor reference made me smile.

Just came to echo what some others here have already said. If you’re getting a 3DS to play it, AlphaRuby and OmegaSapphire are your best choices, especially as a newcomer. Previous iterations are basically the same game with progressively less features and total Pokemon the further back you go. Getting Red or Blue
