The last boss wasn't suppose to be like that. What From Soft was aiming for was that the last boss challenges all types of "play". For instance if you were a mage then the last boss will fight you with mage attacks, if you were a light melee type then he would attack you like that etc....

Unfortunately it isn't going to dispel the assumption, Apple has successfully "brainwashed" it's buyers in to believing that they have the safe haven across digital platforms.
