This type of play style is really awesome if you use a power armor type build. You really need to upgrade and maintain it, as well as take the perks that lower fusion core cost so your cores last longer. You also need to be very careful about using your jetpack and vats so as not to use up the core even faster.

Yeah Bethesda made a huge deal about armor layering and upgrades, and I think there are only 5 under garments that work with it. The best I have found so far is the Military fatigues. +5 defense and +2 agility, with combat armor layered/upgraded on top. The sad part is there are other armors I’d love to wear, like the
