1100 people really isn’t small. You’re comparing them to a publisher that houses several studios and puts out around a dozen games every year, several of which are big open worlds. CDPR is bigger than Rockstar North and Bethesda Game Studios combined. They’re not the little engine that could.

They remind me of Americans on the internet circa the 00s, during the height of the “War on Terror”. Lots of people trying to find something to be offended about on behalf of their country.

If I remember correctly, they expected a series that mostly sold around 1-2 million through their lifetime to sell 5 at the launch window. And that game did end up selling a few more million than that during its lifetime.

Should have made sure the game itself looked and played like a AAA game before marketing it as such and asking websites to talk it up.

As an IT project manager, let me say to this:

Amen.

Here’s a crazy idea:

Let your developers work at a reasonable pace and set your release windows to actual, realistic time-lines in the first place and then you don’t have to push shit back a million times because your project managers can’t seem to figure out how time works. Tell marketing to shut the fuck up and not

Ah, the Rapid Live Service Death Spiral continues:

I feel like this whole GaaS model needs to just go away. By now anyone who buys one of these and is shocked at the state of the game at launch has no one to blame but themselves. These type of games have proven again and again that it’s just not worth it until later on in the games life cycle. Or that they should be

Non-creative people are currently destroying the rain forest, trying to obstruct people’s voting rights, dumping waste into our oceans, and ensuring that insulin stays expensive because they value profit more than human lives.

So no, creative people are not more shitty than the people actively ruining society at large.

Counterpoint: You don’t make back $7.5 billion by making all the titles of all these developers exclusive.

You repeatedly posting this suggests VERY strongly you want to play Bethesda games on a PS5.

Every big company in gaming would love to have what Disney has, but lets be real. Microsoft is nowhere near where Disney is. Give it some time, we may end up looking back on these times as the good old days before giant media conglomerates made a real play for the gaming industry.

That Revelations ranking is the hottest of hot takes. My biggest disappointment in the whole series, especially coming after Brotherhood which is still probably the best game in the series.

I completely agree with the top 3. But AC3 is ranked far to high.

I mean who WOULDN’T want Mads Hannibal to wish them a Happy Birthday?

You could have shortened this pretentious load of drivel to “I didn’t like this game.” Which, y’know, cool and all, but my life is not enriched in any way by your single-paragraph screed of unsupported assertions.

If you’ve ever dreamt of having Hannibal wish you a happy birthday, then your highly specific and weird dream has finally come true.

Uhh Mads wishing me a happy birthday!? Can you change your bday after so I can get more well wishes from that stud?

Are you saying barbarians exemplify the worst aspects of human nature? Thats racist. And naive.

More weird white people shit. Complaining about Andromedas animations, defending a “pro” gamer dehumanizing someone for cheating at Overwatch, now an obsession with penis physics in a Conan game, that looks relatively remedial in the, ya know, gameplay category. Once again, love gaming, but the culture surrounding it
