I haven't read the book and did have the subtitles on and still thought it must be "papi!" Just assumed it was bad transcription work.

Speaking of Jerry Lundegaard, is it an actor choice, director, choice, writer choice, any/all, for Warmolt to sound and act just like Lundegaard? Maybe another reference I'm missing?
Heh. :-) Thanks.
Ah, well, everyone is new once, right? Can I get some credit for being a Firefly fan?
Plus one for the Firefly reference.
Ha! I watched several episodes and tried to suck it up, tried to just see the character (that he is really doing really well; complicated and layered not just straight evil) but I haven't finished the season yet. I'll go back to it but it's a hard one to binge!
WAIT WHAT. There's a Much Ado with The Doctor and Donna? I only started watching Doctor Who because I love Tennant so much and of course fell in love with it and now I get this gift dropped in my lap? Between this and the Joss Whedon one, I don't know if I can handle all my fandom quirks (including Shakespeare!)…
Of course you can't have both in a medium like this - if it's filmed in front of an audience, it's going to have a bit of a static look by necessity, unless we want to see audience, cameras, crew, etc., in half the shots. I don't mind the static look myself as I'm a theatre person at heart and love seeing it…
The kids wanted to watch this and I got totally sucked in! Super cute and funny and there's a lot of subtle satire happening that I quite enjoyed.
