A really tiny insect crawled around for days in my iPhone’s screen before dying and fixed permanently under the glass. I didn’t squish it. I attempted to dislodge it by opening my phone’s screen, only to further damage it, leaving a black line at the very edge. Damn it.

For iOS/Mac users, FaceTime Audio is an excellent service. It is integrated right into the phone app on the iPhone so you can make a call immediately, and provides really clear audio compared to the competition. I guess it's only flaw is that it's not fully cross-platform(but adding the Mac is a nice plus).

Alternatively, you can go to Settings>>Wi-Fi and turn Ask to Join Networks to off. This way your phone will hop on Wi-Fi networks it knows, but won't look around for more without direct orders.
