No worries :). Honestly I feel GW1 was a better community, particularly because most people in GW2 go “let me get my stuff yay me!” and there isn’t really much reason to work together beyond a dungeon or guild task of some sort. Where at least GW1 you mostly had to go with other people (until all the heroes came

They’ve been on sale in the past (its how I got mine), I’m sure they will be again.

Agreed, I’m hoping for / expecting another bunch of zones, since GW2 came with 25 I’m expecting no less than 13... hoping for at least another 20+. Again, I didn’t go the make a second account route, but I feel like the argument is everyone is entitled to another slot, when really, we’ve been playing for mostly free

Agreed, it can totally be percieved that way.

Well, I actually considered making another account as a mule account a while back (pre expansion announcement), but I didn’t care about the “cost” of linking the expansion to my existing account so I did. But really I wasn’t talking about throwing away your account, just keeping it for exploring the old areas and

Oh its a good way to have a discussion, just not when the discussion is with a moron (as was my case).

They also didn’t understand what literally means, much like many people... sadly

That is why the argument ended right then ;)

My understanding is that this technique doesn’t work very well because it comes across as pompous. I say that because that is what I’ve been told during an argument while using that phrase. “My understanding is... you sound so pompous!”

I understand the lack of information being frustrating, but as far as the legendary stuff is concerned, you could just not use the legendary on your existing toon and transfer it via mail to your new toon / account. Additionally most of the crafting materials can be shared across accounts as can gold. The only thing

No, just reboot your machine and as long as the program doesn’t auto start you should be fine. Another option is to use task manager and just hunt for the program (assuming the memory leak only takes place in the application).

Eh, what progress is there that matters that much? It’s just a game. The point of games are to have fun and experience the story. Both can be done regardless of having a second account. I think people are getting a bit bent out of shape for something minor. They don’t charge monthly for the game. If it were WoW you’d

Err I guess the cost difference between standard and deluxe is $24 and not $10... but I was refering to the skin, finisher, and mini as well as the GH decoration in addition to the additional character slot. Either way, people needed to get 3 slots out of the original box, so if you already did that I don’t see it

No... you could play both accounts. But the thing is the game came with 5 slots and 8 professions, so if you bought 3 slots already I don’t see how buying one more would hurt.

That kind of sucks, they did it well for four swords... I wanted to play this with my brother the next time I fly up to visit him =/

The living world was always a part of the plan for GW2... it started in October, under 2 months after the release of the game. I doubt after 1 week of people playing anet was thinking “uh oh, guies... every1 is finished with the game now, we needs to add content” and then churned it out month after month. Also if I

That... is the best... suggestion and comment here. You should submit it to ArenaNet. Seriously. I’d be very cool with that.

Eh, if you feel they are nickle and diming you use the key for HoT on a seperate account... then you get 5 additional slots and even more storage space... plus the ability to mail yourself stuff.

The original game ships with 5 character slots... there are 8 professions... Just because other games did it one way doesn’t mean every game should and needs to do it that way. Just pay $10 for another slot like most people have already done, the difference being this $10 comes with additional bonuses.

As a “veteran” player with all slots filled with max 80 level toons, and having to have purchased the extra slots already to have one of every class (since it starts with less slots than classes)... I had absolutely no problem with the price difference.
