$3500 for a reliable beater isn’t that bad of a deal. Not a great deal, but not exactly surprising.

It’s been a number of years, but I hope you can step back and see that your argument was a bit ironic. Your computer comparison is nearly the same as the jewelry argument you tried to make.
100% agree with this choice, and was my pick and personal car too. Moved on later to an 08 coupe and then a 13 sedan, all manuals. Great value and performance.
You can easily find this 03-07 style with under 120k for $6-8k. Here’s one not too far from Luke https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/6196368840.html
Acura CL coupes had ticking time bomb auto trannies, if it hasn’t broken yet it will.
Meh.
Thank you for that clarification. Then yes, 21" would certainly be more expensive but stylish. To be expected with a torquey car. I have usually upsized my wheels to a certain degree on many previous cars, which cost more but looked far better. On my current car I went lighter and wider, but still expect the…
Let me be the oddball here and say I agree with the “vlogger” here, to a degree.
? I’m pretty sure nearly everyone I know goes with test pipes or at very least HFC in their exhausts in MD and VA.
It’s a general complaint about most any turbo car. Intake, header/downpipe, going catless, blow off valve, etc all require tunes and not just some off the shelf maps like Cobb offers either. That’s why you see so many engines getting “built”, because the last one freaking blew up.
You are odd. That sounds like a clusterfuck waste of money for a car no one would appreciate and would nonetheless have issues with tuning, trans, axles, etc etc. Also, who keeps a car longer than 5 years? Hell I am 28 and on my 23rd car..
These days you can get a WRX with heated leather seats, satellite radio and Subaru Eyesight, one of the best safety systems in the industry.
There’s no question winters are better in the winter, nor that summers are better in the summer. My issue is that in my area, by the time December rolls around and temps start getting close to below freezing, there are still weeks with high 70's where winter treads aren’t safe. Just in February and March of this year…
Cool, but not ideal for all. I daily an ISF sun, rain, or snow with all seasons and nice wheels year round. Some of my friends have similar nice cars and daily $2k cars, or have a winter wheel set. It’s really not uncommon for MD to get snow and then 70 degrees followed by more snow, and I’d hate to drive a beater for…
Snow tires are silly in most areas like DC/PA/VA etc. It’ll literally be 65 and sunny and then drop 3" of snow on you and then freeze. If you want to go skiing and it’s even slightly snowy near the resorts, rwd isn’t that safe.
Because some people want unique style and live in the north. I don’t, but I can understand someone wanting one. It’s like me a few years ago wanting AWD sedan with a stick and my only choices were WRX/STI, A4/S4, and 335xi. I went with the WRX and sold it within 5 months because of the garbage “limited” interior.
Because you want an alternative to the current coupes with AWD. Name another one under $45k.
They were popular because I imagine the Evo was half the price.
