Exactly what I was going to say. The overall arc and "big bad" is a bit of a letdown, but there are some amazing episodes. I think season 4, like season 6, suffers a bit because the theme of the season (defining/finding yourself after high school) is more subtle than anything the show ever did.

Season 6 was always about the characters fighting their inner demons, Willow's being her insecurity about who she is and what she contributes to the group, and if she is defined by her command of witchcraft.

why controversial? Season 3 had a lot of bang for its buck, and I remember getting the most invested in the scale of the danger, being the most excited and genuinely curious how they were going to stop the mayor.

I agree with Narodnya… it's another possible layer of fiction. I always thought that was a neat episode. There are FAR worse….

The fact that Mae Whitman was the voice of Katara in "Avatar: The Last Airbender" makes me giggle from time to time, but I have a feeling there are very few people who are fans of both shows :P

Okay, I was pretty sure that if someone died, it would be Zeek or Camille, but now I'm pretty much convinced that Ryan is going to die (whether due to a drunken/drug accident, or direct suicide). Amber's been too well-adjusted for too long, the show has to f** that up for her. I loved her making the connection to her
